A More Mellow, Female Postal Service - As a fan of indie rock magician Ben Gibbard and his Sub Pop side project The Postal Service, I was amazed at the sound of this mellow, soporific harmony. This female duet has a keen ear for the light, orchestral sounds that normally comprise a lo-fi masterpiece. Don t make a Sound, the standout track, produces a depressing tone suitable for those unable to find their way out of bed. This is truly a soft, indie pop gem, deserving of an intellectual following. I must say I admire these women greatly - they have a bright future with their gifted sense of harmony and musical prowess.If you wonder why you continue to get up every morning and live your life, this album is for you.
Not my taste - A little to simplistic for my taste, I think kickboxer hit the nail on the head with restaurant music. Thats all it could be for me is background. My girlfriend kinda likes it though, I can t sit and listen to it for long. Some interesting vocal effects not much as far as thoughtfulness or song development, just simple dragging tunes with vocal exercise. And I think you meant Tegan and Sara, not Tea again with Sarah. I think Rilo Kiley might be a better alternative though. Still not my favorite, but better in my book.
